Pre-Op Instructions
Pre-Operation Instructions for Pet Dogs and Cats:

Adult Pets: No food after 10 pm the night before surgery.

For kittens and puppies under 4 months of age, please give a teaspoon of wet food at 5 a.m. on the morning of surgery.

Keep pets indoors and/or confined the night before surgery to ensure they do not self-feed.

Stray Paws Animal Haven is a hospital setting and recommends for your pet to have received at least one fvrcp/dhpp prior to your visit.
Day of Surgery:

All dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must come in their own individual carrier.

Hard plastic carriers are preferred, but the following are also approved:

Backpack carrier

Soft carrier

Cardboard box carriers are only approved for kittens under 4 months.

Crates are not allowed:
Please do not bring multiple cats in one carrier.
We reserve the right to refuse surgery.
Any animal we feel may pose a health risk will not be operated on. We will not accept animals exhibiting signs of upper respiratory infection (runny eyes or nose or coughing) or any other illnesses.
Parking and Arrival:
When you arrive, please park inside the orange cones. We ask that you keep your pet in your car. Someone will assist you when it is your turn to check-in.

Please ensure your cat is in a secure carrier when you arrive.
If your cat is loose in your car, you will be turned away.
Transporters:
If you send a transporter in your place to check in for your cats, please be sure that they know everything you would like your cat(s) to receive. We are not liable for any miscommunication given or not given to us by your transport.
Payment:
Our clinic accepts cash, credit/debit cards and apple pay.
We do not accept Checks or Care Credit.
